The Volunteer Training Team at Days End Farm Horse Rescue (DEFHR) consists of a group of dedicated volunteers with extensive horse training experience. The Team operates under the guidance of DEFHR's Trainer Sara Strauss, working to help each horse progress their skills as an equine partner, making them more suitable for adoption.
Volunteer Training Team participants must be 18 years or older and have previous training experience or be currently working under the supervision of a professional trainer. DEFHR is always looking for volunteer trainers who have a solid foundation in natural horsemanship groundwork or have worked with green, young horses under saddle.
Prospective Volunteer Training Team participants must attend a "Welcome to DEFHR" Orientation Session (click here for upcoming Orientation dates) and submit a written application form prior to joining the Team. Click here to download an application.
