The Education Internship Program at Days End Farm Horse Rescue (DEFHR) provides an opportunity to work with students ages 7-17 outside of the classroom, providing instruction in horse health, care, and handling. This internship also provides the opportunity to develop curriculum and engage the community!
Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
This program is ideal for those seeking careers in outdoor education, physical education, elementary or secondary education, and equestrian instruction.
Interns during the fall, winter, and spring can expect to gain experience developing curriculum, teaching DEFHR's homeschool series, visiting local schools, attending career fairs, and assisting in the execution of onsite field trips to DEFHR as well writing new, engaging lesson plans.
Due to limited space, only non-residential Education Internships are available at this time. Looking to fill this position ASAP!
