As part of its effort to educate the community about equine abuse and neglect, Days End Farm Horse Rescue (DEFHR) offers public tours of its main facility in Woodbine, Maryland. Visitors tour the farm and facilities, and have an opportunity to meet some of the horses and hear their stories.
Tours are offered daily during during business hours (9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.). No appointment is necessary for individual tours.
If you have a group, day camp, or school that would like to sign up for an educational talk and tour, please click here to download a form. Educational tours are over an hour in length and include a PowerPoint presentation about DEFHR, videos, a trained tour guide, and handouts. Groups are also welcome to use our outdoor pavilion or front lawn area for lunch after their tour is finished. If you have any questions click here to e-mail DEFHR's Community Outreach Director or call 301-854-5037.
DEFHR does not charge a fee for tours, however, donations are always appreciated with all funds raised directly supporting DEFHR's rescue and rehabilitation programs.
Parking is available. DEFHR's facility is wheelchair accessible.
