Days End Announces Negotiation of New Farm Purchase

By Terri Zseleczky, President

I love the New Year. It always comes with the promise of new beginnings. We put away the holiday decorations, resolve to loose those unwanted pounds, commit to stop smoking (for no less than the 100th time), and look forward to other new and refreshing starts both personally and professionally. Days End is clearly no different, and despite our past successes, thanks to your help and that of all of our supporters, 2005 promises to be one of the most challenging and rewarding years yet!

Our Own Farm! For years, we at Days End have envisioned and have been working toward the goal of owning our own facility, and with the continued generous support of all of our volunteers and partners, that goal is potentially within our grasp!! When real estate professionals talk of location, location, location – they’re not kidding.

Our search for our own facility has taken us to many properties and many counties. Who would have though that the answer would be right in our own back yard – yes – our own back yard! We’re thrilled to confirm that the rumors are true - we are actively negotiating with Dr. Grant Hill, the owner of our current leased facility, to purchase the property from him.

We’ve engaged the services of some rather renowned professionals, including Equestrian Services, LLC of Annapolis, Maryland to help with the planning phase and construction of new improvements, and are hopeful of going to contract with Dr. Hill in the very near future.

I can’t curb my enthusiasm on this potential project - however, as with all capital campaigns, we need your continued financial support to make this dream a reality for Days End and all those we serve, most especially the horses! Engineering costs alone promise to be in the thousands of dollars.

Please be generous and donate TODAY to Days End Farm's "New Farm Campaign" for your 2005 New Year's resolution and watch your dollars work towards
"Protection for Horses" and "Education for People"!
