Days End Deploys Help for the Animals in
the Wake of yet another Hurricane

Once again, Allen Schwartz, co-founder of Days End Farm Horse Rescue has been called in to help with large animal rescue in hurricane ravaged areas after recently returning from Mississippi and areas devastated by hurricane Katrina. His expertise in large animal rescue makes him much sought after when it come to all types of large animal rescue situations. Mr. Schwartz, deployed by the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), left Lisbon, MD to join forces with other animal rescue teams at the command center for animal rescue in Hattiesburg, Mississippi for further deployment.

Providing disaster services is part of Days End Farm Horse Rescue’s mission. Both rescue truck and horse trailer has been prepared to return to hurricane damaged areas, this time possibly in Louisiana and/or Texas. Medical supplies will be restocked and animal emergency equipment was scrubbed up for the return trip south.

Allan Schwartz has been doing various types of animal rescue for over 15 years and is certified through Rescue 3 International for swift water rescue and high and low angle animal rescue. He is also a member of VMAT-2 which is one of several specialty teams established by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and trained to respond to natural and man-made disasters.

Days End Farm Horse Rescue, Inc. in Lisbon, MD, is a non-profit, volunteer based animal welfare organization dedicated to rehabilitating abused and neglected horses.
