Allow your child the opportunity to learn all about horses through Days End Farm Horse Rescue’s (DEFHR's) Homeschool Education Program. This program was designed exclusively for homeschool students and allows participants the opportunity to learn about equines by working hands-on with DEFHR’s own rescue horses. Topics are different each month, but in each session, students participate in classroom instruction followed by hands-on activity to reinforce the lesson.
Topics include: grooming, leading, hoof care, digestive system, dentistry, psychology, and more!
Each session will accommodate only 20 participants, so registering ahead of time is critical. Click here to download a Homeschool Education Program registration form.
Program Dates: Participants ages 5-17 are eligible to register for one Homeschool Education Program Series.
Series A: Second Wednesday of each month (September – May) from 1:00 AM – 2:30PM
Series B: Third Wednesday of each month (September – May) from 10:30PM – 12:00PM
Cost*: Individual sessions are $15 each or the entire series for $100. Prices listed are for the first child and lower per additional child in families ($5/per additional child). The program fee includes a lesson book with pre-visit and post-visit materials, classroom instruction, and hands-on time with the horses.
