Education Programs

Education is a key component of Days End Farm Horse Rescue's (DEFHR's) mission. DEFHR offers a wide variety of educational programs for children, adults, and animal welfare professionals.

In addition to hosting field trips and educational events at DEFHR's main facility in Woodbine, Maryland, Days End Farm Horse Rescue travels to primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities, community organizations, national and international conferences, and industry expos - all in an effort to raise awareness and educate the public about the important issue of equine abuse and neglect.

Is your equine facility, organization or business interested in learning about horse advocacy, the veterinarian's role in cruelty investigation, or the role of animal abuse in the Cycle of Violence? Days End Farm Horse Rescue (DEFHR) staff would love to come to your school to share stories about our horses, dramatic rescues and successful rehabilitations! Presentations can be tailored to grade level or class theme.
