Horse Description: Montego, affectionately called Tego around the farm, is quite the gentleman! He prefers napping in the run-in shed or sun bathing when the weather is suitable for such activities! He is quite handsome with his winter coat dapples appearing. He is well mannered on the ground, has done some groundwork including lunge work and moving his forequarters/hindquarters around. He even has tried his hoof at some long lining and did quite well. He moves off of leg fairly well and he likes to travel around with his poll nice and low. He likes to 'whoa' but doesn't complain when asked to trot or canter. He even went out with two of his new girlfriends on a nice trail ride. You couldn't tell that he had just been castrated this year! He loaded great on the step up trailer both on the way and back. He led the trail ride but also was sandwiched between the two girls and he didn't seem to mind. He was a bit suspicious of water but with a little bit of coaxing he rather enjoyed splashing around and sticking his nose down in it. He got a work out by trotting and cantering up some pretty nice hills and even got to let it rip a bit while hand galloping across an open field...although he probably wouldn't win any races! He is an amiable fellow, ready to do a little bit of ring work and trail riding with his new partner!
