There are many opportunities to help a DEFHR Horse (or even the DEFHR small animals!) through a combination of donations and hands-on care. Based on your level of experience and your desired level of commitment, DEFHR has programs for everyone!

In DEFHR's foster care program, you may be able to not only care for a horse, but ride a horse that is rehabilitated. This is a wonderful way to help an individual horse, enjoy a horse companion, and help DEFHR all at the same time!

DEFHR's Equidopt program, allows you to fully sponsor a horse, either on DEFHR property, or dependent on barn check, sponsor the horse at your home. This is a great program if you have room to help DEFHR!

DEFHR's Adoption Process, places an adoptable horse or an SOS horse in a new home. DEFHR's adoption process is rigourous to ensure that DEFHR horses have the best homes. If you are in search of a new horse for riding, or need a companion horse for your own horse, this is the perfect program to investigate.
