Abuse of equines could be defined many ways depending in which context you are speaking and to whom. Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines abuse as the act or practice of abusing someone or something: such as a: harmful treatment of a person or animal, b: the use or treatment of something in a way that causes damage, or c: the act or practice of using something wrongly.

Neglect is defined as to fail to take care of or to give attention to (someone or something), or to fail to do (something).

The horses pictured below have not recieved adequate care. The first group suffered from malnutrition and parasite infestation. The following group from lack of proper hoof care.
